More fun facts about ancient Celtic marriage laws: There were no laws against interclass or interracial marriage, no laws against open homosexual relationships (although they weren’t considered ‘marriages’ since the definition of a marriage was ‘couple with child’), no requirement for women to take their husband’s names or give up their property, but comedians couldn’t get married

The Stanley Parable, a game about choice and massive sarcasm.

Everyone needs to play The Stanley Parable at least once. It is a wonderful game and this photoset only conveys a small amount of the wonderfulness contained within.

This game is messed up let me tell you. Messed up, but good.

I played every ending (except Art) of this. Truly my favorite gaming experience of the year.

i never played this game but i will play it just for this part

HELPFUL TIP: YOU CAN SELL YOUR PLASMA FOR A LOT OF MONEY AND YOUR BOD MAKES IT REALLY FAST

Okay so kind of sad story about this. I actually have known about this for a while because of my first year of college. Classes and materials were so expensive my roommates had to sell plasma so they wouldn’t end up in massive amounts of debt.

Higher education in the US is so expensive that paying in fucking blood is legitimately one of the best ways to survive.

She pointed out the sexism in video games, so men threatened her until she fled her home

On Monday, Anita Sarkeesian posted a segment titled “Women as Background Decoration.” It examined how gratuitous sexual abuse and violence permeates contemporary video games. By the next day, she had received so many violent threats that she had to flee her home. And these weren’t idle Internet threats — some contained accurate identifying information about Sarkeesian’s home and family, enough for law enforcement to get involved.

But she’s not wrong | Follow @micdotcom
